Welcome!!
My name is Monica and I love what I do!
If you are looking for an opportunity for your child to experience the art of movement and the joy of being physically and spiritually fit, then this is the place for you! There are no carbon copies here. Your child is unique and I encourage that. I've had the pleasure of touching thousands of lives over the past 30 years. My students have advanced to perform in ballet companies, television, local and Chicago theaters and movies. Some of the professions my students have chosen range from dance teachers, choreographers, talent agents in Los Angeles, accounts, lawyers and coordinators for pageants, and even a Scientist at Mayo Clinic!
My guide for teaching children:
Children copy every move you make.
Love and knowledge will take them wherever they want to go.
I'm a music teacher at CBAC and my name is Angie Davids. I am married and have three children, ages 11, 9 and 6. We have all been
involved in performances through CBAC and love the experiences of performing with very talented artists. Music is an excellent art to pursue and has been a source of enjoyment
to me since I can remember. I was born into a musical family where both of my parents were music majors and all of my siblings sing and play at least two instruments. My instruments are my voice, piano, clarinet and some percussion. I have taught piano for 7 years and voice for 3 years.
Piano is a great choice of instrument to start learning music. Theory and techniques learned on the piano are lessons that can be applied to most any other instrument you choose to play later, including singing. Learning how to read music is a lifelong talent!
Hello! My name is Julie Stutler. I have a long
history with Cedar Beach Arts Center. My first dance lesson at age 4 took me through 9 different area dance studios. At age 13, I settled in here and wouldn't trade the education for anything. The quality of instruction opened so many opportunities for me.
We pride ourselves in working with the students to develop the passion within themselves. No matter where their paths lead them, they will have the quality and accurate instruction to ensure their ability in the world of dance. I especially enjoy teaching the beginner classes. It gives me a great sense of accomplishment to see the children grow and improve through the years. I teach my dance and tumbling classes with patience and understanding to ensure each child is having fun while receiving quality instruction. CBAC has been a wonderful part of my life as both a former student and current instructor. I love passing that experience on to my students.
Hello everyone. I'm Miss Meghan.
I teach ballet and pointe here at
our studio. I received my dance
training here in NW Indiana until
the age of 9. I then started
training in Chicago at Ruth Page
foundation School of Dance.
Nine is also the age I fell in love with the beautiful city of Chicago. My parents and family are still in Dyer so it only seemed right to teach in NW Indiana. I have found my home at Cedar Beach Arts Center. I Love that I can bring the flavor of Chicago to such a well-rounded studio. My love and passion for the arts is shared by the staff, students and the parents alike. When I'm not "home" teaching, I work as a make-up artist and esthetician and live in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood. Thank you for allowing me to continue sharing my experience, education, and love of ballet. I look forward to seeing all of you in class!!
