Cedar Beach Arts Center is dedicated to providing quality dance, music, pilates,exercise,and tumbling classes to children and adults of all ages. We entertain locally with yearly performances of the Nutcracker and Spring Showcases. We have locations in Cedar Lake and St. John, Indiana. Our instructors have over 100 years of teaching experience. Class sizes are limited to provide as much individual attention as possible. It is our pleasure to create a possitive and valuable learning experience for all who participate.
About Cedar Beach Arts Center.
Rick and Monica Vecchio purchased the Hanover House in Cedar Lake on Christmas Eve 2003. With the support of the Town Council it became the Cedar Beach Arts Center on Easter Sunday 2004. Although many other people had looked at the house seeing endless work and money, Rick and Monica saw a peice of history waiting to be reborn.
Monica has enjoyed studying, performing, and creating dances locally and in Chicago for 44 years. She has taught thousands of children and adults all styles of dance and theatre. Monica explored the world of television and movies with successful working children. Rick studied ceramics in school and has been a craftsman all his life. Rick's other interests include opera, blues and sailing.
With their backgrounds and passions, they have embraced the Hanover Community and created a spiritual oasis of peace to inspire the artist inside everyone.
